Canon EOS 550D
One of the newer model's in Canon's EOS lineup is the new Canon EOS 550D. The 550D is designed to appeal to 'entry-level' DSLR users, but carries the functionality of other lines including the 50D.

This is a fairly new development in Canon's EOS series and will excite a new slew of consumers to Canon's increasingly impressive DSLR line-up. Canon 500D users, who are looking for a replacement camera, may find the 550D does not stray far from the previous model. In fact, it serves more as a sister model. There are slight improvements, but overall it is a similar model.
The Canon 550D possess an 18-megapixel capability. This allows for vivid, clear, and large images to be produced. The 550D is relatively lightweight, which makes for easier transportability. The ISO functionality ranges from 100-6400 and is expandable to 12800 ISO.
The Canon 550D is a great camera for both those who are new to the DSLR world and those who are long-time photography enthusiasts. It is a light-weight and very transportable camera which makes it ideal for travel use. It is a great camera and a welcome addition to Canon's EOS series.
