Nikon D90

The Nikon D90 has received rave reviews from photography enthusiasts on all levels. It is considered a mid-range DSLR however, this 12.3 megapixel camera is packed full of features usually found in more expensive, top-of-the-range DSLR cameras.

Image quality on the D90 is outstanding with a 12.3 megapixel DX-format CMOS sensor similar to the one found in the semi-pro Nikon D300. Featuring an integrated dust reduction system, the sensor is complimented by Nikon’s EXPEED image processing technology which results in images with rich colours and fine details.

The D90 can shoot effectively in a wide variety of lighting conditions with ISO settings ranging from 200 to 3,200 which can be extended to L1 (100) and H1 (6,400). Active D-Lighting balances exposure in shadows and highlighted areas. This feature can be used in manual or auto mode.

The D90 is the world’s first DSLR with a movie function allowing you to shoot 720p high definition movies in Motion JPEG format. Movies and images can be reviewed comfortably on the high resolution 3.0-inch LCD screen with 921,000 pixel display, the same screen found on the Nikon D300. The screen can also be used to compose images in Live View mode.

This 12.3 megapixel DSLR is undoubtedly a force to be reckoned when it comes to leading edge imaging technology. Image quality makes a camera worth buying and the Nikon D90 delivers superb image quality and versatility.
